Stunning Professional Dancers, and local community and school dancers, rehearse at Hidcote Manor Garden

Over 90 dancers will be animating Hidcote Manor Garden this week from the premiere of Stuck in the Mud on Thursday 4 July to the final performance on Sunday 7 July.

Where:
Hidcote Manor Garden, near Chipping Campden, Glos GL55 6LR

What is Stuck in the Mud?:
Stuck in the Mud takes audiences on a 1.5 hour journey through the stunning garden ‘rooms’ at Hidcote.
It plays with the themes of being ‘set free’ (as in the game) and of being ‘stuck’ in our ways and perceptions.  We witness what beauty and enjoyment can grow through the creative interaction of dance, music and play.

Stuck in the Mud continues to celebrate the spirit of the Paralympics through the skills and talents of an integrated (disabled and non-disabled) core cast of professionals.  They are joined by local school and community groups.

This is more than just a ‘dance’ – it’s a trip out, a journey, with mud pies and games; a creative and animated interpretation of the gardens, a celebration of human and botanical diversity, and a truly inclusive experience!

The show is produced by Gloucester-based GDance, in partnership with Hidcote Manor Garden and Ballet Cymru.  Promotional partners are Cheltenham Music Festival and The Roses Theatre in Tewkesbury.

Performance Details :
-      1.30pm on 4 & 5 July (schools performances)
-      6pm and 8pm on 4, 5, 6 & 7 July

Tickets can be purchased through The Roses Theatre box office at www.rosestheatre.org / 01684-295074.

Family-friendly, suitable for all ages, and fully accessible to disabled audience members, with:
-      Specially-made ramps
-      Audio described performances on Saturday 6 July
-      British Sign Language interpreted performances on Sunday 7 July

After its Cotswolds premiere, Stuck in the Mud will be re-created for Blackfriars Priory in Gloucester on 13 & 14 October, and for Newport indoor market in Wales on 12 & 13 November. European performances are also being planned.

Stuck in the Mud is being financed by the National Trust, Arts Council England and Arts Council of Wales.
