May Half-Term Holidays Be Wonderfully Artistic

Disabled children and their siblings can get involved in Wonderland themed fun, film and dance activities this May half-term at The Vibe Youth Centre in Coney Hill. The 4 days culminate with a real, red carpet performance and film show at the Guildhall, Gloucester on the final day.

GDance and Art Shape are known for supplying great, inspiring and inclusive artistic activities. That is why Active Impact, who have been given the responsibility of coordinating these activities for young disabled children and their siblings by the County Council, have chosen the two charities to supply the activities.

“It’s great to see partnership working to provide the best possible quality activities and experiences to the children and giving them the opportunity to play together rather than being segregated by their differing needs, abilities  and mobilities”

Says Karen Perrins, GDance’s Project Manager and joint leader of the holiday club participants who won a trophy, along with Art Shape’s Harriet West, at the Gloucester Carnival celebrations last year for the colourful costumes and carnival choreography they had created over 4 days.

“whether you are interested in acting, dancing, choreography, making and designing props and costumes, animation, editing or all of the above - this project is for you”

This May half term, Tuesday May 27 - Friday May 30, the four days cost just £42 and a sibling will be half price.

Young people aged 8-17 and their parents can find out more by calling Harriet West at Art Shape’s offices on 01452  863 855
