Marc Brew is the Artistic Director and choreographer, the music has been specially commissioned, and a live musician accompanies sections of the work.
Each event comprises a promenade performance during which the audience are taken on a tour of the site seeing work placed at specifically chosen places along the route.

Thematically, Stuck in the Mud explores:
  • The idea of being “set free” based on the children’s game Stuck in the Mud where children free each other from being stuck in a stationary position by an agreed touch or action of another.
  • Being stuck as a metaphor for people who are stuck in their ways/ perceptions/ prejudices.
  • What grows out of being stuck in the mud or earth?  Out of mucky dirt to blossoming of beauty and fruitfulness.
