The Mears group has backed the 20th anniversary
fundraising appeal by Gloucestershire Dance.
The company, based at Gloucester Business Park in
Brockworth, has handed over a cheque for £250.
GDance was set up in 1995 and is nationally renowned for
its groundbreaking work with disabled and disadvantaged dancers and
choreographers.
Based in Colwell Road, Gloucester, it has been the dance
launchpad for dozens of people who face disabling barriers, and has won a host
of accolades for its productions, dance films and training.
The 20th anniversary appeal is aimed as securing GDance’s
future in an increasingly tough funding climate.
Director Cath Wilkins said: “It’s great to have backing
from local businesses such as Mears. It is a vote of confidence in our future,
and a huge morale boost.”
The Mears Group’s vision is to make a positive difference
to the communities it serves by improving homes, communities and lives.
