Bad Taste Cru, Dance City and Juice Festival present ‘No Excuses, No Limits’ Workshop with BBoy Redo

Opportunity to take part in a workshop led by Redo, a first for the North East, and one of the only workshops of its type in the world.

Hailing from Holland, 24 year old, Redouan Ait Chitt, better known as Redo, is a professional break-dancer who teaches, performs, and competes in events all across the world. He is a member of Funky Dope Manoeuvres and the world renowned ILL-Abilities Crew

ILL-Abilities consists five of the world’s best break-dancers  hailing from Canada, USA, Chile, and Holland, and most remarkably, each have overcame physical or learning disabilities. ILL-Abilities use motivational entertainment to encourage positive self- belief and limitless possibilities.

The goal of their crew is to shatter any misconceptions that society may have on people with disabilities. Together, they created a global movement by spreading their message: “No Excuses, No Limits”.

Redo has physical disabilities; he has a shorter right arm, which lacks an elbow joint and has a total of five fingers. He is also missing his right hip; has a shorter right leg, and walks with the aid of a prosthetic.

Despite these complications, Redo never allowed his situation to hinder his life and states that,“I never let my situation take over my life. I took control over my situation.”

Growing up, Redo did everything a typical child would do and he participated in many types of sports, events, and activities.

Redo began to learn breakdance when he was 14 years old and immediately loved this art-form. Despite him initially not being able to manage all of the steps, through creativity, determination, and the encouragement of his friends, he was able to create a unique, powerful and awe-inspiring style of his own.
Today, Redo performs in theatre shows all over the world, enters competitions, teaches classes, gives workshops and gives motivational lectures. His ambition is to travel the world and share his story and hopefully inspire and motivate as many people possible on his journey.
